Join The Print Center and Women In Transition (WIT) for a virtual self-defense class, offered in concert with our current exhibition, A Brand New End: Survival and Its Pictures.
Led by the staff of WIT, our thought partners for the exhibition, this class will help participants learn verbal and physical boundary setting tools that they can use in the real world. The session will feature discussion and activities around the five components of self- defense: Think, Yell, Run, Fight, and Tell. Participants will be taught a few easy-to-learn physical techniques.
WIT’s classes are trauma-informed, and designed to empower individuals and build their confidence. You don’t need to be an athlete to learn self-defense! The course is intended for people of all genders, skills, abilities, sizes and body types.
