Allison Barnes: The Print Center Gallery Store Award

Allison Barnes (Chicago, IL) is a large format photographer, curator and writer. She received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY, and her MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA. Her photographs and articles have been the feature of numerous publications such as Aint-Bad Magazine, American Oxford, Der Greif, Lenscratch and One One Thousand. Barnes has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States and internationally, including exhibitions at Alibi Fine Art, Chicago, IL; Oglethorpe Gallery, Savannah, GA; Houston Center for Photography, Houston, TX; and Minneapolis Photo Center, Minneapolis, MN. She was chosen as one of 30 Under 30 Women Photographers 2012 by Photo Boite and received honorable mention in Flash Forward Emerging Photographers 2013 by the Magenta Foundation. Barnes’ work is included in New Directions at the Detroit Center For Contemporary Photography, and her work is part of Catherine Edelman Gallery’s The Chicago Project.
