Elizabeth Corkery

Elizabeth Corkery (Providence, RI) was born in Sydney, Australia and moved to the US in 2004 after completing her BFA in Printmaking at the College of Fine Arts, Sydney, Australia. She received her MFA from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY in 2013 where she was the recipient of the John Hartell Graduate Award for excellence in graduate studio practice. She spent two years living and working in Brooklyn, NY, before commencing her graduate studies. Corkery has had a solo exhibition at Beers Contemporary, London, UK and in 2015 she was a funded resident at the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT. She has received production and research funding in the US from Brooklyn Arts Council, Cornell Council for the Arts, The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, Somerville Arts Council, as well as Australian philanthropic organizations The Australia Council, The Dame Joan Sutherland Fund and The Ian Potter Cultural Trust. Corkery has also worked with The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia, PA.
