Beauvais Lyons

Beauvais Lyons (Knoxville, TN) received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI in 1980 and his MFA from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ in 1983. He is a Chancellor’s Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN where he has taught printmaking since 1985. Lyons’ solo exhibitions have been presented at over 60 museums and galleries in the United States and abroad. In 2002 he received a Fulbright Fellowship to teach at the Fine Arts Academy, Poznañ, Poland and in 2014 he received the Santo Foundation Artist Award. His prints are in numerous public collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY; Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia, PA; and Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC.
