Julie Anand & Damon Sauer: Michener Art Museum Photography Patrons Circle Purchase Prize

Julie Anand and Damon Sauer (Phoenix) use an interdisciplinary approach to lens-based media to interrogate boundaries and explore the body as a site of perception. Anand is currently Associate Professor in the School of Art at Arizona State University, Tempe, and Damon Sauer serves as an Assistant Professor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh—Online Division. Both received their MFA degrees in Photography from the University of New Mexico and began collaborating with each other in 2005. Their work has been shown at numerous venues, including the Lightwell Gallery, University of Oklahoma, Norman; and Rayko Gallery, San Francisco.
