Jennifer Pepper (born Lewes, DE; lives Massachusetts) holds a BA in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware, Newark and is working towards an MFA in Communication Design at Kutztown University, PA. Her work has been featured in 1000 More Greetings, Apartment Therapy, Boston Magazine, Computer Arts Magazine and Real Simple. Her design work was awarded Silver in the 2021 UCDA awards and Silver in the 2021 Graphis New Talent Annual.

Compliments are supposed to make a person feel good about themselves. However, sometimes they come paired with a less than complimentary qualifier. The series of work I created explores the way women are often addressed. Using blush, eyeshadow, and foundation as typographic treatments, we are reminded of the way we should see ourselves no matter what.
