Statement from the Artist:
Long winter gives way to a fleeting spring, messy and vibrant and sweetly scented in all its explosions of life. Languid midsummer stretches on, then falls. Fruits, flowers, and foodstuffs wilt and rot and glow lurid under sunlight. . . Beauty is made precious by its brevity.
