Inspired by Denise Bookwalter’s exhibition, The Knitter’s Hand and the Telegrapher’s Fist, students created individual accordion-style artist books using a multi-color reduction block printing technique. Subject matter for the books was pulled directly from each student’s culture and everyday life, which they further investigated and explored using various research processes.
