David Freese has spent the last five years photographing the four thousand mile stretch along America's Pacific Rim. "From Bering to Baja" is a vast photographic journey captured in small, intimate prints contrasted with large panoramic views forcing the view to investigate each detail of this thrilling landscape. In explaining this project, Freese states, "The coast itself is always undergoing change as land, water and plate tectonics wage an ongoing battle...For whatever reason, we are always drawn to the sea. Many say it is an innate response since it is there that our evolution and our eventual transition to the land took place. The salt is still in our blood."
