Andrew Jeffrey Wright received his BFA in animation from the University of the Arts. He is one of the founders of Space 1026, an alternative exhibition space in Philadelphia created to disseminate images in unusual ways. Much of his work is strongly influenced by his background from animation, but he currently works in a variety of media such as silkscreens, zines, drawings and animated short films.

He was featured in a two-person show with Barry McGee at Lump Gallery, Raleigh, North Carolina. The Manipulators, an animated film made in collaboration with Clare Rojas, has received numerous awards, including Best Animation at the New York Underground Film Festival (2000). He has been included in group exhibitions including: Institute of Contemporary Art, Spector Gallery, and Vox Populi in Philadelphia; CBGB's Gallery and the New Museum in New York; The New Lab in Boulder, Colorado; and the Delaware Art Museum.
