MEET THE HONORARY CURATOR: SPENCER ZAHN
Spencer Zahn has been involved in the arts in Philadelphia since childhood – taking classes at Fleisher Art Memorial, studying art in high school and graduating from the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts). His senior year ended on a high note when his first public exhibition, SkyScapes, sold out. He went on to a stellar career – highlights include varied types of design work – concert posters, album covers, concert stages and “high heel rock ‘n roll” boots – as well as achievements in advertising, architecture, marketing, painting, photography, printmaking and sound engineering. Zahn’s open and generous spirit informs his work and his approach to collecting art and books.
The Auction on Artsy begins closing at 12:00pm (ET) on Monday, December 5, 2022. BIDDING: You can bid at Artsy.net, or on your iPhone using the free Artsy App available in the iOS App Store. Please make sure you have the most up-to-date app on your device. Bidding can be conducted two ways: Bid Increments: Below $1,000: $50 New This Year! Cascading and Popcorn bidding allows you to bid with ease when you are interested in multiple lots. Please pay close attention to specific lot end times, as each lot closes individually. Refer to each lot’s countdown timer to keep track of pieces you are following. Cascading lots close in a rolling order, a minute apart, one after another, so that you can fully focus on an individual lot without missing out on others. Popcorn Bidding extends a lot’s availability by two minutes, with each new bid made in the last two minutes before closing. Popcorn bidding will stay active until a full two minutes passes without any new bid activity. This allows bidders to have ample time to counter, raising the most possible support for The Print Center. Buyer’s Premium – Artsy will add a standard additional charge of 15% onto each item’s hammer price. Paying the Buyer’s Premium allows more of the proceeds from the Auction to benefit The Print Center. MORE DETAILS Winning bidders will be notified by email or text as soon as the Auction closes. Winning bidders will be contacted by The Print Center on Tuesday, December 6 to accept payment and make shipping or pick-up arrangements. After the Auction closes – unsold lots will available at the minimum bid price, and remain available until December 22, 2022. These will be available in a Post-Auction Sale in The Print Center’s galleries and online. All sales are final – no exchanges or refunds. All items are sold as is. By completing a purchase, a buyer waives any claims for liability against either The Print Center or the donor of the property or service. Neither The Print Center nor the donor is responsible for any personal injury or damage to property that may result from the utilization of property or services sold. The Print Center’s membership discounts do not apply to Auction purchases. Contributions to The Print Center are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Items that are left unclaimed for more than 90 days become the property of The Print Center.
