America Today is a groundbreaking exhibition that brings together contemporary artworks from six community-centered, mission-based printshops across the US to consider the breadth of the American experience in the context of the nation’s 250th anniversary. It highlights the power of print as a medium for expressing political ideals and urgent societal concerns. The workshops include Brandywine Workshop & Archives, Philadelphia, PA; Coronado printstudio, Austin, TX; Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, Pendleton, OR; EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, New York, NY; Self Help Graphics & Art, Los Angeles, CA; and Women’s Studio Workshop, Kingston, NY.
