Photo: Robby Onggoh\nPresented on Zoom \nJoin us for a conversation between Jakarta-based artist Adi Sundoro and Philadelphia-based curator Gesyada Siregar\, presented on Zoom. This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Adi Sundoro: Seeking Into The Folds\, on view at The Print Center January 23 – April 4\, 2026. The exhibition is centered on the printed material related to the ubiquitous wrappers for the popular street food gorengan (Indonesian fried fritters) commonly repurposed from confidential documents. Sunduro will join us from Jakarta\, while his curatorial colleague Siregar will participate from Philadelphia. \nRegister for Zoom \n  \nAdi ‘Asun’ Sundoro (born 1992\, Jakarta\, Indonesia; lives Jakarta) completed his undergraduate fine arts education at Jakarta State University and earned an MA from the Bandung Institute of Technology\, Indonesia. Sundoro’s first solo exhibition was held at Kedai Kebun Forum\, Yogyakarta\, Indonesia in 2019. Since then\, he has exhibited his works both nationally and internationally\, including in Egypt\, India\, Japan\, South Korea and Vietnam. His achievements include being the winner of the Basoeki Abdullah Art Award #4 and bronze winner of the UOB Painting of the Year in the Established Artist category\, both in 2022. In 2025\, Sundoro was commissioned by the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara\, Jakarta to create a temporary\, interactive installation\, and was an artist-in-residence at the Aomori Contemporary Art Center\, Japan. Since 2014\, Sundoro has been actively involved with Grafis Huru Hara\, a studio-based collective dedicated to exploration\, experimentation and education in printmaking. He is the Creative Director at The Distillery Asia\, and a lecturer in the New Media program at BINUS University\, Jakarta. \nGesyada Siregar (born 1994\, Medan\, Indonesia; lives Philadelphia and Jakarta\, Indonesia) is a curator\, writer and behavioral researcher working at the intersection of art\, collective practice and decision science. Currently pursuing a Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania through the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education scholarship\, Siregar investigates how uncertainty\, friendship and organizational behavior shape cultural ecosystems by bridging behavioral research with twelve years of hands-on experience in over 180 collaborative art projects. She has presented her work at Monash University (2020)\, Festival sur le Niger Mali (2021)\, The Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School & BAK (2021)\, Frieze X ICA Philadelphia (2022)\, Matadero Madrid (2022)\, Foundation of Contemporary Art-Ghana (2022)\, and Asia Art Archive in America (2024)\, among others.
