DESCRIPTION:The Print Center is happy to host Penn’s Village series The Muse Behind the Artist III in our historic Rittenhouse Square carriage house. \nPlease join us along with Penn’s Village for a conversation with local artists Michael Froio\, Rebecca Gilbert\, Matt Neff and Amanda Tinker as they discuss the inspiration behind their art\, which will be moderated by Executive Director Elizabeth Spungen. \nA wine and cheese reception with the artists will follow. \nThis program is free for Penn’s Village members and volunteers; a $5 donation is appreciated from all other guests. \nRSVP is required. SUMMARY:Make Art Philly Day
DESCRIPTION:The Office of Arts\, Culture and the Creative Economy will host  Make Art Philly\, a day of art-making and crafting all around the theme of voting in City Hall’s historic courtyard on Wednesday\, July 27 from 10am – 2pm. Cultural organizations from throughout Philadelphia will share their art-making skills\, allowing visitors to participate in activities including screenprinting with The Print Center in partnership with Second State Press\, collaging with the Dumpster Divers of Philadelphia\, button-making with the Main Line Art Center\, puppet making with the Mann Center\, clay working with the Clay Studio and many other family-friendly activities. The voting themed art-making is an extension of Philly VOTE and Get Out the Vote Art in City Hall exhibitions. \nThis is a FREE event.\nThe Print Center at 1614 Latimer Street will be closed all day Wednesday for this event.
