SUMMARY:Latvian Poetry Book Launch and Signing with Laris Kreslins & Kevin Mercer
DESCRIPTION:  \nPlease join poet\, curator\, and graphic designer Laris Kreslins along with Philadelphia based artist\, illustrator and printmaker Kevin Mercer for a Latvian Poetry Book Launch & Signing of new Latvian poetry: Atlaidas/es\, a 72 page volume with various color pages/plates featuring work by Mercer. \n“I’m excited to announce my latest book of poems Atlaidas/es. This new collection is about empathy\, misplaced and imagined memories\, and all sorts of endings.” – Laris Kreslins \nThe book has been designed to be a convenient pocket size volume measuring in at 4 x 7 inches. It contains over 60 new\, never before published micro-poems and it will be printed in a limited and numbered edition of 200. \n  \nWe were hooked on this book launch by the description of the poetry. Laris Kreslins\, poet\, curator and graphic designer calls his poems micro-poems and says they are about “empathy\, misplaced and imagined memories\, and all sorts of endings.” Kreslin’s pocket-sized book (4×7”)\, titled Atlaidas/es\, and with art by Kevin Mercer\, is printed in an edition of 200. We think the size is perfect for the micro-poems. – artblog \n  \nThis Event is Free and Open to the Public. \n  \n  \n
