The Print Center\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>ANNUAL International Competition<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>is one of the most prestigious and oldest competitions in the United States. The Print Center is particularly interested in highlighting local, national and international artists who utilize photography and printmaking in intriguing ways, both in content and process. Artists who use printmaking and\/or photography as critical components of their work, or whose work pushes the boundaries of traditional photographic and printmaking practices, are encouraged to enter.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Print Center has a strong history of welcoming artists, audiences and participants of diverse backgrounds, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, and gender identities and\/or expressions. The Print Center values diversity in staffing, leadership, programming and the range of communities with which we engage. We are committed to the ongoing work of upholding these values and believe removing barriers to inclusion is critical to the future of our society. We support and seek to give voice and visibility to emerging and established artists of all races, ages, sexual orientations, genders and gender identities and\/or expressions. We welcome and encourage the participation of individuals of all backgrounds who are inspired by our shared purpose. We honor the power of photography and print to raise and amplify a multiplicity of voices. We are committed to fostering that power to advocate for change as well as supporting artists working for equity and justice in our exhibitions and programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nThree Finalists are selected by The Print Center to receive solo exhibitions at The Print Center, Philadelphia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stinnett Philadelphia Museum of Art Collection Award<\/strong><\/span>
\nSelected by a curator from the Department of Prints, Drawings and Photographs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, work will be accessioned into the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Permanent Collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Purchase Award
\n<\/strong>Selected by the curatorial staff, selected work will be accessioned into the Museum\u2019s permanent collection.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The Art Museum of West Virginia Purchase Award<\/strong><\/span>
\nSelected by Robert Bridges, curator, work will be accessioned into the Art Museum\u2019s collection through the Beth and Joe Hestick Acquisitions Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

Online Portfolios<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Print Center will mount an online portfolio exhibition for Semifinalists and Finalists, including up to five images, biographical information and artist statements. Finalists can present an additional 5 images for inclusion (up to 10).<\/span><\/p>\n
