Grigor-Taylor introduced artists from California and England who were unknown on the east coast. In 1971 he presented a solo exhibition of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tate.org.uk\/art\/artists\/rb-kitaj-1416\">R. B. Kitaj&#8217;s<\/a> complete graphic work (The Print Center purchased <em>Photo-Eye<\/em>, color silkscreen, 1970, for its permanent collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art), and in 1973 he curated a group exhibition of California printmakers including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/art21\/artists\/vija-celmins\">Vija Celmins<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.annexgalleries.com\/artists\/biography\/3635\/Crutchfield\/William%20Richard\">William Crutchfield<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tonydelap.com\/\">Tony Delap<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joegoodestudio.com\/\">Joe Goode<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gagosian.com\/artists\/ed-ruscha\">Ed Ruscha<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grigor-Taylor was the Director from 1969-1973.
