On March 24, 2020,\u00a0Piotr Szyhalski<\/strong>\u00a0made a drawing that would evolve into\u00a0\u201cCovid-19: Labor Camp Report,\u201d\u00a0a series of artistic responses to the global pandemic. Today the project, which can be seen in its entirety on Instagram\u00a0@laborcamp<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, comprises over 225 digitally-printed posters that have been wheatpasted across the U.S. from Los Angeles to Baltimore and Minneapolis to Philadelphia. Join us to hear Szyhalski<\/strong>\u00a0speak with\u00a0Anna Drozdowski\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Joseph del Pesco<\/strong>, who organized the wheatpasting efforts in Philadelphia and Baltimore, respectively. They will reflect on the project as well as the role of art and activism in society today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anna Drozdowski builds cultural experiences that call upon performance to communicate in moments when words may fail us. She splits her time between Philadelphia and Vermont. She teaches at Moore College of Art and Design, Philadelphia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joseph del Pesco is a curator, writer and publisher based in Baltimore, MD. He is International Director of KADIST (Paris & San Francisco).<\/span><\/p>\n

Piotr Szyhalski\u00a0is a Polish-born, Minneapolis-based multimedia artist and founder of Labor Camp, an ongoing art project that includes interactive components (digital and physical), original music, performances, videos, printed ephemera, texts and an archive of online resources. He teaches at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, MN.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
