This program is presented in conjunction with Claiborne&#8217;s current exhibition: <a href=\"https:\/\/printcenter.org\/95thsoloexhibitions\/kevinclaiborne\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Before I Died I Was Invisible<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Kevin Claiborne <\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(born Camp Springs, MD; lives New York, NY) is a multidisciplinary conceptual artist whose practice crisscrosses photography and printmaking. His work examines and questions intersections of identity, environment and mental health within the Black American experience. He holds a BS in mathematics from the historically Black college, North Carolina Central University, Durham and an MS in higher education administration from Syracuse University, NY. He is an MFA candidate in Visual Arts at Columbia University, New York. He has had solo exhibitions at Thierry Goldberg Gallery, New York; Santa Barbara Center for Art, Science and Technology and the University of California Santa Barbara Multicultural Center Gallery. His work has been featured in group exhibitions at venues including the University of California, Los Angeles; At Peace Gallery and Photoville, both New York; and Arts Fund, Santa Barbara.
