Join\u00a0The Print Center<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Heart On Your Sleeve<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0for an intimate poetry writing workshop, led by\u00a0Ursula Rucker<\/strong>. Space is limited. Elixr coffee and snacks will be provided.<\/p>\n Workshop participants have the choice between a regular admission ticket ($25), or a combo ticket ($55) which includes a discounted HOYS t-shirt.<\/p>\n T-shirts are available for purchase in The Print Center Gallery Store for $35.<\/p>\n Heart on Your Sleeve<\/em> will donate a portion of the net proceeds to Harriett’s Bookshop (258 E Girard Ave, Philadelphia). Named for historical heroine Harriett Tubman, the store celebrates women authors, artists and activists.<\/p>\n Do you wear your heart on your sleeve? Wearing your heart on your sleeve is to be vulnerable, to be present, and to show your whole and authentic self.<\/em><\/p>\n If this sounds like you… Come gather in the spirit of love… we’ll create poems, share, and listen to stories of self-love, tough love, love lost, brotherly love, and sisterly affection.<\/em><\/p>\n What are we going to do? Sit at the table, TOGETHER \u2013 listen -to each other – to music, make poetry, and create art that speaks to our mutually LOVING experiences. <\/em> Heart On Your Sleeve\u00a0<\/em>(HOYS) is a winterlong (November 2022 – April 2023) public art and poetry initiative focused on the themes of care and renewal. This six-month project brings together Philadelphia Poets and Artists to co-create compassionate works that appear on insulated take-out coffee sleeves and in public artworks at Elixr Coffee.
