Natalia Mej\u00eda Murillo<\/strong> (born Colombia; lives Richmond, VA) has a BFA and an MA in the History and Theory of Art from the National University of Colombia, Bogot\u00e1; and an MFA in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. She has had artist-residencies including: Helllo New York! through the Curatorial Program for Research, New York; MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA; Tajo Taller and Saenger Galer\u00eda, Mexico City; Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, ME; and Fundaci\u00f3 Mir\u00f3 Mallorca and Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez, Spain. Murillo has received awards from the Kunstmuseum Reutlingen, Germany and the Ministry of Culture of Colombia \u2013 M\u00e9xico (FONCA), among others. She has been on the faculty of the National University of Colombia and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, both Bogot\u00e1, and currently teaches at VCUArts, Qatar.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
