Ryan Thompson (Chicago, IL) creates work that points to both the mundane and the significant as it engages the complex and often strange relationships produced in collaboration with natural phenomena. Recent projects include Dark Flight, DIG, Chicago; Glacial Erratic Monuments: Geneva for the exhibition Public Things, Galerie Analix Forever, Geneva, Switzerland; and Burden of Proof: Forest & Sea, Lightwell Gallery, University of Oklahoma. His work was also recently included in the book Reframing Photography, by Rebekah Modrak and Bill Anthes, Routledge, 2010.
