Madison Cooper (lives Dallas, TX) received a BFA from The University of Texas at Austin. She has had a solo exhibition at the Visual Arts Center in Austin and her work has been included in group exhibitions at Big Medium and ICOSA, both Austin; and The Martin, Chicago, IL. Statement from the Artist:
My work is an exploratory conversation addressing memory, Blackness and childhood. I work primarily in photography and printmaking, and frequently incorporate textile elements and practices to emphasize specific familiar and cultural symbology.
