Statement from the Artist:
My practice aims to craft narratives that represent female experiences under certain political regimes in China, for example, to discuss how the single-child policy changed fertility rights and weaponized it against women. My work explores the similar historical placements between chinaware/vessels and the female gender and depicts younger generations of women escaping from their mothers’ social traumas.
