Rebecca Najdowski (Melbourne, Australia) received her MFA from California College of the Arts, San Francisco, CA and works in photography, video and installation. She received a Fulbright Fellowship to Brazil and was the first Artist Fellow at the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, AZ. Her work has been exhibited and screened throughout the US and in Brazil, Colombia, Greece, Italy and the Netherlands. Najdowski has been an artist-in-residence at CAPACETE, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Institute for Electronic Art, Alfred University, Alfred, NY; Kala Art Institute, Berkeley, CA; and Signal Fire, Portland, OR.
These images are from her project Desert Pictures, which examines the edges of photography through collaborations with the desert environment using components such as minerals, rain and the sun.
