Evan Hume (born 1987, Albany, NY; lives South Bend, IN) has a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond and an MFA from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Hume has exhibited at Filter Photo, Chicago, IL; Fotografiska, New York; and Furthermore, Washington, D.C. Hume’s work has been featured in Aperture Magazine and Der Greif and is part of the Museum of Contemporary Photography’s Midwest Photographers Project. Hume is currently a Visiting Lecturer in Photography, University of Notre Dame, IN.

Statement from the Artist:
Evan Hume’s work is informed by the experience of living in the nation’s political center for much of his life. It focuses on the use of photography as an instrument of the military-industrial complex and intelligence apparatus.
