Sang-Mi Yoo (Lubbock, TX) is a Korean-born artist who received her BFA in painting from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea and her MFA in printmaking from Ohio State University, Columbus, OHd. She was awarded the first Wolhee Choe Memorial Award from the AHL Foundation, New York, NY; the 2012 Seacourt Print Workshop Artist-in-Residence, Bangor, Northern Ireland; and a 2010 Puffin Foundation Artist Grant. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Lawndale Art Center; Houston, TX; Moonshin Museum, Seoul, South Korea; Museum of Printing History, Houston, TX; and the 2008 Pacific Rim International Print Exhibition, Christchurch, New Zealand. Yoo’s work is collected in the Museum of Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX; National Museum of Contemporary Art, Gwacheon, Korea; and Springfield Art Museum, Springfield, MO. She is Associate Professor of Art at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX.
