Amze Emmons (Philadelphia, PA) received his BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH, and his MA and MFA from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. He has had solo exhibitions in Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia and San Francisco and his work has been included in numerous group exhibitions in venues ranging from innovative commercial galleries to artist-run spaces, and nonprofit institutions. Emmons has received awards a Fellowship in the Arts from the Independence Foundation, Philadelphia, PA, an Individual Creative Artist Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and a Fellowship at the MacDowell Colony, Petersborough, NH. His work has received critical attention in The Huffington Post, Itsnicethat.com, Coolhunting.com, New American Paintings, as well as many other print publications. He is Associate Professor at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. Emmons is also a co-founder and co-contributing editor of the popular art blog, Printeresting.org.
