Implications, 2013

Inkjet on Japanese paper
Detail
Working out of a long lineage of artists interested in the landscape, in this body of work I gesture to our active role in constructing and idealizing the natural world. Using photographs from a trip in Iceland, this installation aims to draw attention to the means of making the image through enlarging halftone dots and disrupting the image through folds, cuts, and ruptures.
Each column folds into a bound accordion book with hard covers.
