Roxana Azar (born 1989, Philadelphia, PA; lives Philadelphia) received a BFA in Photography from Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University, Philadelphia and an MFA in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. They have exhibited at Austin Center for Photography; RESORT, Baltimore; Signal, Brooklyn; Skylab Gallery, Columbus, OH; and High Tide Gallery, Inliquid Gallery and The Print Center, all Philadelphia; as well as Doomed Gallery, London. Azar’s work has been included in numerous publications, including VICE, Sight Unseen, Mossless, Bitch Magazine, Mercuria Magazine, It’s Nice That, Elephant Magazine, Yen Magazine, Waterfall Magazine, Ain’t Bad Magazine, Paper Journal and Musee Magazine. Their work is in the collection of Capital One, Richmond and they were a recipient of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Graduate Fellowship from Virginia Commonwealth University.
