Thomas Alva Edison High School, Class B

Fall 2022
Classroom Teacher: Juri Kim
Teaching-Artist: Tamara Suber

Students from Edition High School learned a series of printmaking techniques to explore ideas of duality, identity and community. They created several artworks focusing on color, contrast and texture in monotype, collograph and relief printing. After learning about printmakers that share their cultural identity, some students created linocut landscapes. Others chose to incorporate digital photography, text, printmaking and collage to create layered diptychs.
