Fall 2014: The Usualness of the Everyday
The fall 2014 curriculum, Documenting the Usualness of Everyday, drew on the work of photographers in The Print Center’s exhibition: Day Job and the screenprints in Stella Ebner: Let’s Go! G-‐O! Go! The students addressed forms and concepts of documentation and narrative in the everyday through printmaking and photography projects.
Spring 2015: Activation: Research Information and Play
The spring 2015 Activation: Research, Information and Play curriculum responded to the exhibition Denise Bookwalter: The Knitter’s Hand and the Telegrapher’s Fist. Students were asked to explore the myriad ways that we conduct research in our lives including through art making, collaboration and exploration. Their projects built on the ways that contemporary artists have incorporated research into their work through their use of printmaking, photography, archiving and observation.
