Denise Bookwalter is an assistant professor of art and head of printmaking for Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. She is also the director of the Small Craft Advisory Press. She holds an MFA in printmaking from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, an MA in art education from the University of Illinois, Bloomington, IN, and a BA in geological sciences and art theory and practice from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. Her work has been included in recent exhibitions at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN; The Project Gallery, Marseille France; and the Domashnaja Galereja, Kiev, Ukraine. She has held artist residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and the Jyvaskyla Center for Printmaking in Finland.
