Mateusz Sarello (Warsaw, Poland) is a graduate of the Academy of Photography, Warsaw, Poland. He is a member of the Napo Images agency (Napo Mentor Program). His book Swell, was chosen as a finalist in the Best Photography Book Award at the Pictures of the Year International in 2014, won 3rd prize at the International Photography Awards in 2013 and was chosen for the “Best Books of 2013” list by Photo-Eye. His awards and distinctions include the FotoWeekDC International Award, the PDN Photo Annual, the Prix de la Photographie Paris, the International Photography Awards, the FotoVisura Grant and the International Photography Festival Organ Vida Prize. A finalist of the Lens Culture Exposure Awards, the Lucie Foundation Scholarship and Grand Press Photo, he has exhibited at the Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography, Dhaka, Bangladesh; FotoWeekDC, Washington, DC; Museum of Municipal Engineering as part of Photomonth, Krakow, Poland; Karas Galler Zagreb, Croatia; Pauza Gallery, Krakow, Poland; Leica Gallery, Warsaw, Poland; Obok ZPAF Gallery, Warsaw, Poland; Gallery of Photography, Dublin, Ireland; Gallery Nine, Belfast, UK; and Splashlight Studios, New York, NY.
