In the Fall of 2020 and Spring of 2021, AISP adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic by offering virtual residencies to classrooms. AISP shifted the focus of curricula, providing thematic frameworks on Abstract Art, Appropriation and Identity from which to teach key concepts in contemporary art through distance learning. AISP provided teaching-artists, art materials and computer programs to support the teaching of artmaking and critical thinking skills.
