Amy Sands (Golden Valley, MN), who has an MFA from Pratt Institute, New York, is an Adjunct Professor at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and Metropolitan State University, St Paul, MN. She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows both nationally and internationally, including recent exhibitions at the 8th International Printmaking Biennial, Douro, Portugal; Bradbury Museum, Jonesboro, AR; Madrid International Print Fair (Estampa); and Prints Tokyo 2012, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. She received a first place award for her work at the 57th Midwestern Invitational, Rourke Art Museum, Moorehead, MN in 2016, and a juror’s award at the 2013 Mid America Juried Members Exhibition at the McDonough Museum of Art, Youngstown, OH. Sands’ work is held in the permanent collections of the Central Lakes College, Brainerd, MN; Montefiore Medical Center, New York Public Library, Pratt Institute, all in New York; Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN; and Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, IA.
