David Christensen (Calgary, Canada) is a filmmaker and photographer. He earned a BFA from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, in 1989. He has exhibited his photographs in group shows in New Orleans, San Diego and Toronto. His most recent film was the The Mirror, which had its international premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, its US premiere as the opening film at New York’s MoMA’s Documentary Fortnight and its Canadian premiere at the Hot Docs Documentary Festival in Toronto. Christensen is currently a Producer and Executive Producer with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). At the NFB, a sampling of his projects include Guy Maddin’s & Evan Johnson’s online work Seances, the Oscar-nominated animated short film Wild Life, and the FWA Site of the Year Bear 71.
