Elizabeth M. Claffey (Bloomington, IN) is an Assistant Professor of Photography at Indiana University, Bloomington. She has an MFA in photography from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, where she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies. Claffey’s work focuses on the way personal and familial narratives are shaped by interactions with both domestic and institutional structures and spaces. Her work has been included in recent exhibitions at Photographic Resource Center, Boston; Cochenour Gallery, Georgetown, KY; and Indianapolis Art Center. Claffey’s work has been highlighted in such publications as The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Dallas Morning News and PDN Magazine. Her work is held in several public collections, including The Kinsey Institute Collection, Indiana University, Bloomington; The Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO; and Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
