Briar Craig (Kelowna, Canada) received a BFA in printmaking from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada, in 1984 and an MFA in printmaking from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, in 1987. Starting in 2009, he initiated and began co-organizing the Okanagan Print Triennial in conjunction with the Vernon Public Art Gallery, Vernon, Canada and the Kelowna Art Gallery. His work has been exhibited around the world in almost 300 print exhibitions and is held in the permanent collections of the Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada; Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts; International Print Triennial Association, Krakow, Poland; Purdue University Galleries, West Lafayette, IN; and Japan Print Association, Yokohama. He was Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Minnesota, Morris, and is currently Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, Kelowna, Canada.
