Jennifer Schmidt (Brooklyn, NY) received her BA from the University of Delaware, Newark, and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has held solo exhibitions in Boston, Chicago and New York among other locations. Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions in venues ranging from innovative commercial galleries to artist-run spaces, and non-profit institutions. Schmidt has received awards for her work, including an Artist Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts in Printmaking/Drawing/Artist Books, an Artist Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and a Daynard Fellowship from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Her work has received critical attention in ArtFCity, Artnet, The Boston Globe, Printeresting, as well as many other print publications. She is currently Chair of the Print, Paper, and Graphic Arts Department at School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts, Boston.
