Holly Morrison

Holly Morrison’s (Richmond, VA) work engages media of photography, print media, book and digital forms, with a means to ends approach. She is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships, notably fellowships for extended residencies at the Headlands Center for the Arts, San Francisco, CA; and McDowell Colony, Peterborough, NH. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and abroad, including the Akron Art Museum, Akron, OH; Artists’ House, Jerusalem, Israel; Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, IL; Corcoran Gallery, Washington, D.C.; Hallwalls, Buffalo, NY; and Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland, OH. Her work is included in public and private collections including Cranbrook Academy of Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, MI; Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit, MI; and Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, KS. Morrison’s career has been marked by collaborative work with a number of artists including painters Joanne Greenbaum, and Sebastian Bremer; author Carolyn Fraser; and photographer Mary Jo Toles. She is currently working in collaboration with Dublin-based performance artist Nigel Rolfe.
