Emma Nishimura (Toronto, Canada) received her BA from the University of Guelph, ON, and her MFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has held solo exhibitions in Lincoln, San Francisco and Toronto, and participated in numerous group and juried exhibitions throughout Canada, China and the United States. Her work is in a number of permanent collections, including the Japanese Canadian National Museum, Burnaby. Nishimura has received awards for her work, including an Othmer Fellowship from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and several grants from the Ontario Arts Council. Nishimura teaches at the University of Guelph and OCAD University, Toronto.
