Jan C. Almquist (Philadelphia, PA) studied at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, received his BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from the Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts) and an MJ in Journalism and Communication Theory from Temple University, Philadelphia. He is a designer, photographer, artist, educator and founding principal of AAJdesign, a visual communications firm located in Philadelphia. He has participated in numerous solo and group shows and his work is included in corporate and private art collections. Almquist’s work is also held in the permanent collections of Museum of Applied Arts, Brno, Czech Republic; Graphic Design Collection of the National Design Archive, Rochester Institute of Technology, NY; and Library of Congress, Washington, DC.
Jan C. Almquist was awarded the Trinity Framing Award.
