Bruce Thayer (Mason, MI) received his BFA and BS at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, and his MFA from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. He had many one-person shows with Zaks Gallery and Printworks Gallery, both in Chicago. He has shown across the United States and internationally in museum and gallery exhibitions. His work is held in several public collections including Cranbrook Art Museum, Brookfield Hills, MI; Block Museum of Art, Evanston, IL; University of Hawaii, Honolulu; Rutgers State University, New Brunswick, NJ; and George Washington University, Washington, DC. He has received grants and fellowships from Art Matters, Michigan Council for the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
