Allyson Strafella (b. Brooklyn, NY 1969; l. Hudson, NY) has a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University, Boston, MA. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the University of Buffalo Gallery, NY; Columbus Museum, GA; Perez Art Museum, Miami, FL; The Print Center, Philadelphia, PA; Portland Art Museum, Portland, OR; and Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, Washington University, St. Louis, MO; as well as internationally at Nordenhake, Berlin, Germany; Sleeper, Edinburgh, Scotland; Hafnarfjörður Centre of Culture and Fine Art, Iceland; Bartha Contemporary and Large Glass, both London, UK; Raffaella Cortese, Milano, Italy; Museo De Arte Contemporaneo Esteban Vicente, Segovia, Spain; and AC Centre Art Contemporain Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. Strafella has work in the collections of the Fogg Art Museum, Cambridge, MA; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Yale University Art Museum, New Haven, CT; and Metropolitan Museum of Art, Morgan Library & Museum and Museum of Modern Art, all New York, NY, among others. She has been in residence at Dieu Donné, MacDowell Colony, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and   Yaddo, among others. Strafella is a Guggenheim and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow, a Pollock‑Krasner Foundation award recipient and an Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation grant recipient.
