Zorawar Sidhu (b. 1985, Ludhiana, India; l. New York, NY) has a BA from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD; a Certificate in Painting from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), Philadelphia; and an MFA from Hunter College, New York, NY. His projects recreate art historical artifacts using contemporary technology and historical materials and techniques. He has exhibited projects with galleries and museums nationally, including Five Myles, Brooklyn, NY; Spring/Break Art Show with Field Projects, New York, NY; Marginal Utility, Philadelphia, PA; PAFA; and the Museum of The Town of Vestal, NY.

Rob Swainston (b. 1970, Mechanicsburg, PA; l. New York, NY) has an MFA from Columbia University, New York, NY. His work has been exhibited with BravinLee Programs; the Bronx Museum, NY; Smack Mellon, Brooklyn, NY; Queens Museum, Corona, NY; Canada Gallery, David Krut Projects and Print Center New York, all New York, NY; Marginal Utility, Philadelphia, PA; Provincetown Art Association and Museum, MA and Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens, NY. Swainston has been awarded numerous residencies including Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Space Program and the Fine Arts Work Center. In 2020–21, he was the Ludwig Foundation Professor for Printmaking at the Weissensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin, Germany and is an Associate Professor at State University of New York at Purchase. He is co-founder of and master printer for Prints of Darkness.

Sidhu and Swainston are a collaborative art duo that explores the intersection of historical print processes and contemporary technologies. Their projects investigate the complexities of contemporary social issues by drawing from the history of print as the medium par excellence of social movements. They have exhibited together at The Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington, VA; University at Buffalo Anderson Gallery, NY; The Patricia and Philip Frost Art Museum, Miami, FL; Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation, Portland, OR; Princeton University Art Museum, NJ; Hall Art Foundation, Reading, VT; Syracuse University Art Museum, NY; and United States Department of State, Washington, D.C.; as well as Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Germany. Sidhu and Swainston’s collaborative work is included in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX; Art Museum of West Virginia University, Morgantown; Museum of Modern Art and New York Public Library, both New York, NY; Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation; Hall Art Foundation; National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; and Syracuse University Art Museum, NY; as well as Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
