Statement from the Artist:
My work explores notions of homelands, memory and identity (re)construction as part of the immigrant experience. I am interested in determining whether immigrants’ identities and notions of home evolve in a linear or non-linear manner; and whether it is possible to speak about the death and rebirth of these notions as two steps in a process that can potentially interweave across time and space.
