Paul Rider (b. 1962; l. Elkins Park, PA) has a BFA from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA, and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design, GA. His work has been exhibited across the US, including at Adams State University, Alamosa, CO; Klompching Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; The Demuth Museum, Lancaster, PA; The Print Center and Woodmere Art Museum, both Philadelphia, PA; Maine Museum of Photographic Arts, Portland; Viewpoint Photographic Arts Center, Sacramento, CA; and Dedee Shattuck Gallery, Westown, MA; as well as internationally at the 2018 Pingyao International Photography Festival, China. Rider’s work is included in the collections of the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY; the Free Library of Philadelphia and Swarthmore College, both PA; and PNC Financial Services Group, Pittsburgh, PA. Rider was a fellow at the Center for the Emerging Visual Artist in Philadelphia. His work has been published in Lensculture and The Eye of Photography. An artist and educator, Rider has taught at Penn State University Abington; Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, Lancaster; Bucks County Community College, Newtown, PA; Tyler School of Art & Architecture, Temple University and the University of the Arts, both Philadelphia; Marywood University, Scranton, PA; and Delaware College of Art and Design, Wilmington.
