Jessica Harvey

Jessica Harvey (Chicago, IL) explores the myths we create about nature while trying to preserve a more desired history. Harvey received her MFA in Photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield, IL in 2009. Recent solo and two-person exhibitions include shows at ACRE Exhibitions, Chicago, IL; Heaven Gallery, Chicago, IL; Good Weather, North Little Rock, AR; The Luminary, St. Louis, MO; Black Hills State University, Spearfish, SD; and Hardesty Arts Center, Tulsa, OK. Harvey has participated in group shows at Cranbrook Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, MI; Johalla Projects, Chicago, IL; Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography, Detroit, MI; and Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, Grand Rapids, MI. She was awarded a Fulbright Grant in Iceland in 2011 – 2012 and has had residencies at Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT; Anderson Ranch, Snowmass Village, CO and Byrdcliffe Arts Colony, Woodstock, NY.
