Jill Katz

Jill Katz (Philadelphia, PA) received her BA in Art and English Literature from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY and her MA in Art Education from New York University, New York, NY. She has studied at the International Center for Photography, New York, NY and is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Her solo shows include Picturing Place, Ruth Hyman Jewish Community Center of Greater Monmouth County, Deal, NJ and Across the Roof of the World: Beijing to Kathmandu, International House, Philadelphia, PA. Katz’s work has been exhibited in group exhibitions including Jewels & Treasures, Main Line Arts Center, Haverford, PA; Celebration of Art and Life, The Perelman Center, Philadelphia, PA; Journeys, LightRoom, Philadelphia, PA; and Personal │Universal, University City Arts League, Philadelphia, PA. She was selected as a finalist in the Society for Photographic Education/Silicon Gallery Photo Competition, Philadelphia, PA and PhotoImaging Competition, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, Philadelphia, PA as well as being included in the UNESCO tile project catalog Destination, The World.
